Job description

Our client is seeking a Product Lead - Business Development individual to be responsible for processing, distributing, and logging all new/change orders and RFPs in accordance with established procedures. Also, to manage the coordination of end-customer/government and commercial orders/contracts. Support business development efforts to generate new orders. Actively engage our customers and Sales team (Manufacturers Representatives & Distributors) to identify new opportunities and future programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for processing, distributing, and logging all new/change orders and RFPs in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain and update internal procedures as required for continuous improvement as well as establishing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Manage coordination of end customer/government and commercial orders/contracts. Knowledge of terms & conditions to Commercial department upon receipt to ensure all information is accurate and acceptable
  • Support business development efforts to generate new orders
  • Actively engage our customers and Sales team (Manufacturers Representatives & Distributors) to identify new opportunities and future programs
  • Support Business Development financial planning budget & forecast based on customer’s existing /future programs projections
  • Generate and distribute sales reports as required
  • Visit and manage customers/Reps/Sales team as directed by management
  • Knowledgeable of export compliance. Prepare DD250’s on government orders where required
  • Attend regularly scheduled production meetings to ensure our commitments to the customers are being met and issues resolved
  • Coordinate information between various departments ensuring a timely flow of data into Sales & BD Department
  • Maintain our customer relationships by responding and following through on all customer requests
  • Prioritize and monitor workload to achieve departmental objectives
  • Follow up on quotes from submittal to win or loss; manage the win/loss report
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably required by Management
  • Qualify lead and new business opportunities (NBOs)

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Technical) or applicable experience
  • 5+ years in promoting specialized Electrical Assemblies (HMIs, EMI Filters, Capacitors, Magnetics, Avionics sensing & control, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Government contracts
  • Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems
  • Strong MS Office skills

The salary range is $85,000- $120,000.
