    Responsibilities:

    The Industrial Engineering Technologist is responsible in determining the most effective ways in using the department’s resources which includes people, machines, materials, money, energy, and time. They are responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of goods for specific product lines, which meet or exceed customer schedules, while driving continuous cost and process improvements.

    Duties Include:

    • Measure work performance through Time and Motion Studies.
    • Establish work standards/instructions.
    • Analyze project benefits and costs.
    • Enhance system operations.
    • Spearhead Lean Manufacturing and 5S Program initiatives
    • Assist in the capital planning budget.
    • Production Planning and Control duties including: Evaluate production systems, equipment, work methods and products; Develop operating systems that reduce costs and increase quality and production; Improve work methods and determine how much work each machine or employee must produce to meet production targets; Improve workflows with the operations to drive efficiencies; Create ergonomic workstation designs that reduce worker fatigue, eliminate unnecessary work steps, and increase productivity.
    • Introduce key performance indicators (KPI), monitor measurements, and study results for ways to improve processes and reduce process variance, defects and costs.
    • Initiate and maintain Manufacturing Bill of Materials, routings, production versions and production orders as per requisitions received.
    • Establish and maintain manufacturing quotations and cost controls on standard and special products.
    • Provide lead time information on quotation requests, order review of new requirements, delivery updates and monitoring of orders relating to products.
    • Liasson with the Production Manger on the coordination of work order flow and process through the Plant.
    • In conjunction with Engineering and Quality assist with the development and maintenance of standard routing and operating procedures within the ATP.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering Technology Program or equivalent, with 6-12 months of on-the-job experience

    -OR -

    • 3+ years of related Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing/Production Coordination (or equivalent) experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Working knowledge on any ERP software preferably SAP
    • Intermediate or Advance skill of computer programs such as Microsoft Office especially Excel, Visio, and Project
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities , strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
