Job description

Join our team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician and make a meaningful impact by supporting patients who rely on intravenous homecare. In this role, you will contribute to safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care while collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and compound sterile parenteral and enteral medications, including antibiotics, TPN agents, cardiac medications and pain pumps under pharmacist supervision.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of prescription order entry and delivery documentation.
  • Participate in patient care meetings to provide pharmacy expertise and support.
  • Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards and monitor results for pharmaceutical testing.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, logging, and organizing supplies.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Support pharmacists in daily operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance professional skills.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Active national pharmacy certification from a nationally recognized program.
  • Active pharmacy technician license with Florida Board of Pharmacy or LPN with Florida Board of Nursing.
  • 1+ years of experience preparing parenteral/enteral medications, including IV antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and pharmacy software programs.

Preferred:

  • Experience in infusion pharmacy operations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a team environment.
