General Statement of Duties:
The Café Associate serves to promote the Loft Café and EpiFUEL Bar Menu which includes a variety of hot and cold beverages, breakfast, and lunch items.
We are looking for a passionate, outgoing, and customer-oriented individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving drinks and food items to customers in our cafe and smoothie bar. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the cafe and smoothie bar, as well as assisting with other tasks as needed. If you have a passion for food and beverage service, and you're looking for an exciting and rewarding career, then this is the role for you!
Job Responsibilities:
• Greet customers, answer questions, and take orders in a friendly and hospitable manner
• Prepare and serve food and drinks in accordance with company standards
• Serve smoothies, coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, and other menu items
• Clean and maintain work area, including wiping down counters, tables, and surfaces
• Stock and restock refrigerators, shelves, and displays with food and beverages
• Follow health and safety guidelines in accordance with company policy
• Cash handling, including accurately processing payments and providing change
• Assist in other areas of the cafe as needed, such as serving customers at the register or restocking shelves
• Maintain a neat and orderly appearance, including wearing a uniform if applicable
• Ensure customer satisfaction by providing quality service and addressing customer complaints in a courteous and timely manner
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a cafe or similar environment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
• Ability to take orders accurately and efficiently
• Knowledge of food and beverage safety regulations
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
• Ability to operate cash registers and other Point of Sale systems
• Knowledge of food and beverage menu items
• Ability to prepare various types of smoothies and other drinks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
