EpiCafe Barista

Department: LOFT

General Statement of Duties:
The EpiCafe Barista serves to promote the EpiCafe Menu which includes a variety of hot and cold craft beverages, breakfast, and lunch items.
We are looking for a passionate, outgoing, and customer-oriented individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving drinks and food items to customers in our cafe. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the cafe, as well as assisting with other tasks as needed. If you have a passion for craft beverage services, and you're looking for an exciting and rewarding career, then this is the role for you!
Job Responsibilities:


  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, taking orders, and ensuring overall satisfaction.

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and food items-including coffee, tea, smoothies, sandwiches, and salads-while adhering to company standards for quality and presentation.

  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, and assist at the register as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by wiping surfaces, restocking supplies, and following all health and safety guidelines.

  • Support overall cafe operations by assisting with stocking, display upkeep, and other tasks that contribute to smooth daily service.


Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with prior barista or food service experience preferred.

  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of basic food preparation, beverage recipes (including smoothies, coffee, and tea), and food safety regulations.

  • Ability to take orders accurately, operate POS systems, handle cash transactions, and ensure service efficiency.

  • Physically able to stand for long periods, lift and carry supplies, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, with a professional and team-oriented approach.
