Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Michigan-licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for locum tenens coverage in a hospital-based anesthesia setting in Rochester, Michigan. This role supports OR anesthesia services with a focus on adult and geriatric patients, including general surgical, obstetrical, and neurosurgical cases.

Opportunity Details

  • Facility Overview: 180-bed hospital with 11 ORs; Level III Trauma Center
  • Shifts: 8- or 10-hour day shifts

Clinical Scope

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop care plans
  • Administer general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care
  • Monitor patients during procedures and manage anesthesia complications
  • Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
  • Perform and support procedures including:
    • General surgical cases (adult)
    • Obstetrical cases
    • Neurosurgical cases
    • Arterial line insertion
    • IV insertions
    • Floor intubations
  • Support out-of-department anesthesia needs including:
    • Endoscopy
    • Non-invasive cardiology
    • Obstetrics
    • Radiology (CT and MRI)
  • Maintain accurate documentation per hospital and regulatory standards

Practice Environment

  • Hospital-based anesthesia services with OR coverage across 11 operating rooms
  • Level III Trauma Center with primarily adult and geriatric patient populations and minimal pediatric cases

Requirements

  • Active Michigan RN license
  • NBCRNA Certified
  • Board Certification: AANA (required)
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
