Facility in Jackson, MI seeking Rheumatology locums coverage Rates: $275/hr A facility in Jackson, MI is seeking a Board Certified Rheumatologist for locum tenens coverage to support an active outpatient clinic with associated hospital call coverage. This opportunity provides adult and geriatric rheumatology care with strong clinical support and a balanced clinic/call schedule. Position Details Specialty: Rheumatology Position Type: Locum Tenens Practice Setting: Office clinic with hospital-based call Location: Jackson, Michigan Reason for Coverage: Current vacancy Coverage Duration: ASAP Ongoing Anticipated Start: Facility would like coverage beginning February 1; due to credentialing timelines, realistic start is closer to April. Schedule and Call Clinic schedule options include: 4 10-hour clinic shifts, or 5 8-hour clinic shifts Hospital call consists of 24-hour call coverage, Tuesday Monday, two weeks per month with a 1:2 call ratio. Patient Volume Clinic: Approximately patients per day Hospital: Approximately 1 inpatient consult per day Clinical Responsibilities and Procedures Provide adult and geriatric rheumatology care Perform joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections Collaborate with hospital services as needed during call coverage Practice Environment Trauma Level II facility Group includes 1 rheumatologist with full support from MA, RN, and front desk staff EMR system: Epic Credentialing Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately days. Travel Local providers are preferred; travel reimbursement may be considered for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage.
