Locum Rheumatologist Opportunity Jackson, MI
High Priority ASAP Start (Ongoing Coverage)

We are seeking a Board-Certified Rheumatologist for a locum opportunity in Jackson, Michigan . This is a well-supported role combining outpatient clinic work with minimal hospital call .

Position Highlights
  • Specialty: Rheumatology

  • Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic + Hospital Call

  • Start Date: ASAP (credentialing required; expected spring start)

  • Coverage Type: Locum Tenens

  • Providers Needed: 1

Schedule
  • Clinic coverage: 4 10s or 5 8s

  • 24-hour hospital call : 2 weeks per month (1:2 rotation)

  • Weekends included during call weeks

  • Hospital only 10 minutes from clinic

Patient Load & Clinical Details
  • Clinic: patients/day

  • Hospital consults: 1 patient/day

  • Adult & geriatric patient population

  • Procedures required:

    • Joint aspirations

    • Corticosteroid injections

  • EMR: Epic

  • Trauma Level: II

Requirements
  • Board Certified in Rheumatology

  • Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology

  • Active Michigan medical license

  • BLS certification

  • Comfortable with clinic and hospital-based rheumatology care

  • NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)

Travel & Logistics
  • Local candidates preferred

  • Travel, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursement available if needed
