Job description

A facility in Michigan is seeking a Locum Rheumatologist to provide outpatient clinic coverage with hospital-based call , starting as soon as credentialed (anticipated April start due to timelines).

Position Highlights:

  • Setting: Office clinic + hospital call

  • Schedule: Clinic 4 10s or 5 8s

  • Call: 24-hour hospital call, 2 weeks per month (1:2 ratio)

  • Coverage: ASAP Ongoing (current vacancy)

  • Patient Volume:

    • Clinic: patients/day

    • Hospital: 1 case/day

  • Procedures: Joint aspirations & corticosteroid injections

  • EMR: Epic

  • Trauma Level: II

  • Support: MA, RN, Front Desk

Credentialing:

  • Estimated days

Travel:

  • Local preferred; travel reimbursed if needed (flight, hotel, rental car, mileage)

Requirements (ALL REQUIRED):

  • Board Certified Rheumatology

  • Fellowship trained

  • Active Michigan license

  • BLS

  • Ability to perform joint injections/aspirations

  • NPDB Self-Query (pulled within 30 days)
