Position: Non‑Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver
Employment Type: Part‑Time/Full Time Hours may vary

About Angels on Wheels Transportation

Angels on Wheels Transportation, LLC provides safe, reliable, and compassionate non‑emergency medical transportation services across North Carolina. Our team supports individuals who depend on us for medical appointments, treatments, and essential mobility. We pride ourselves on professionalism, dignity, and exceptional care for every passenger we serve.
We are expanding our service area and seeking dependable drivers located in Brunswick County, NC to join our team to support Medicaid Transportation Services through Brunswick County DSS office located in Bolivia.
Position Overview

As a NEMT Driver, you will transport ambulatory and wheelchair‑bound clients to and from medical appointments, facilities, and essential destinations. You represent Angels on Wheels with professionalism, patience, and respect at all times.
Responsibilities

  • Safely transport clients to scheduled medical appointments and destinations
  • Provide courteous assistance entering/exiting the vehicle
  • Maintain punctuality and professional communication
  • Follow all company safety protocols and documentation procedures
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and readiness before and ending of each shift
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
  • Represent Angels on Wheels with compassion and integrity
Requirements

  • Must reside in Brunswick County, NC in one of the towns from (Leland to Northwest) preferred

  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license
  • Clean driving record

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Professional, patient, and customer‑service oriented demeanor
  • Ability to lift, assist, and safely secure wheelchair clients (training provided)
  • Smartphone with GPS capability
  • Prior NEMT or healthcare experience is a plus but not required
