Job description

RN II-Surgery (Mandatory Call)

Provides support to surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures. Coordinates the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgeries. Ensures patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. Participates in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment. Responsible for circulating in the Operating Room during procedures. Knowledgeable in aseptic technique and applies it consistently. Competently operates all equipment routinely used in the Operating Room. Prepares patients for surgery, ensuring safe and appropriate anatomical positioning. Conducts pre, intra, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment. Handles and disposes of biohazardous materials safely. Accesses facility information systems for pertinent patient care information. Demonstrates knowledge and skills related to patient safety, emergency preparedness, and medical equipment protocols. Documents temperature of tissue/allografts and verifies package integrity according to guidelines. Utilizes downtime for job-related tasks such as chart auditing and restocking. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of all associates and patients. Receives all required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
