Job description

Dermatology Nurse Practitioner

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time permanent opportunity with a growing rural health dermatology practice in North Carolina. This position focuses exclusively on medical dermatology and offers the opportunity to build long-term patient relationships while expanding access to dermatologic care in underserved communities.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations and full-body skin exams
  • Diagnose and manage: acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, rashes, skin cancers and precancerous lesions
  • Perform dermatologic procedures including shave biopsies, punch biopsies, excisional biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, wound care management
  • Interpret dermatopathology and diagnostic testing
  • Develop treatment plans collaboratively with supervising physicians
  • Prescribe medications and therapies
  • Provide patient education on skin health and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation

Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program
  • Active North Carolina NP or PA license
  • National certification required
  • Required: Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience (post clinical rotations) under a Board-Certified Dermatologist
  • Strong procedural and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Must be enrolled or have prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid
  • Required: DCNP or CAQ-Derm credentials or eligible to complete within 12 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with biopsies, cryotherapy, and lesion removal
  • Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems
  • Interest in rural healthcare and continuity of care
  • Prior independent dermatology practice experience strongly preferred
