Job Description
Job Title: Physician Assistant

Description:
A qualified Locum NP/PA is needed to work alongside attending Cardiothoracic Surgeons.
The role involves assisting in surgery as a first assistant in the operating room only.
Call coverage is required for the operating room only with no office responsibilities.
The average number of patients per day includes 10 outpatient and 5-8 inpatient.
Vein harvesting is a required skill for this position.
The documentation system used is EPIC.
New graduates will not be accepted; preference is given to experienced NPs with cardiothoracic surgery knowledge and skills.
Required duties include:
Assisting in surgery.
Writing prescriptions.
Rounding on patients.
Ordering tests.
Performing pre-operative physical exams.
Suture removal.
Vein harvesting.
A typical day involves rounding in the hospital followed by time in the operating room.
The role requires assessment of patient health status, including wellness and compliance with the care plan.
