Work EnvironmentTemporary assignments in various healthcare facilitiesPermanent or long-term positions in hospitals or clinics
Employer UsageStaffing agencies, travel healthcare companiesHospitals, outpatient surgical centers

Can you work as a surgical tech as a locum LPN surgical tech?

A locum LPN surgical tech typically cannot work as a surgical tech because Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are not trained or credentialed to perform surgical technologist duties, which require specific certification and skills. However, LPNs may assist in perioperative settings under supervision, but they do not perform the same roles as surgical technologists.
