Position Overview
- Join a community-focused outpatient clinic providing comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services.
- Practice independently within your scope while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Deliver high-quality mental health care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications.
- Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care.
- Offer supportive therapy, counseling, and behavioral health interventions when clinically appropriate.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medication management, and wellness strategies.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialty providers and community resources.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Consult with the Medical Officer and other healthcare professionals on complex cases as needed.
- Participate in a team-based approach to patient care and quality improvement initiatives.
Schedule & Practice Environment
- Up to 30 hours per week.
- Flexible scheduling options.
- Clinic hours: 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
- Choose between:
- 5 eight-hour shifts, or
- 4 ten-hour shifts.
- Modern outpatient clinic setting.
- No inpatient responsibilities listed.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current PMHNP board certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Current Oregon RN and NP license, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain before practice begins.
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Eligibility for professional malpractice coverage.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
