SUMMARY

This is an operations position responsible for overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance activities associated with general maintenance and repair of the facility and company assets.  Join our team and help keep our buildings beautiful and a wonderful place to work and visit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Commercial painting experience is required (internal and external)
  • Implement preventative maintenance plan
  • Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
  • Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
  • General interior/exterior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems, and maintain exterior look of the dealership.
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Completes special tasks that include but are not limited to locksmith work, and general maintenance as assigned.
  • Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS  

-Ability to comply with all Policies & Procedures.

-Work independently with little to no supervision.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

-Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of five years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical, and commercial painting

-High school diploma or GED equivalent

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and taste or smell.  The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft., possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written. Candidate must possess and provide own basic hand tools required to perform assigned work scope, while other tools and equipment are provided.
