Job description

Position Summary

Locksmith/Safe Technician is responsible for performing locksmithing, safe servicing, and related security hardware tasks in support of company operations. This role requires adherence to company procedures, safety standards, and customer‐service expectations while working in residential, commercial, and institutional environments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electronic locks, door hardware, and related security components
  • Perform safe work, including combination changes, lock manipulation, openings, repairs, and routine maintenance
  • Rekey locks, create keys, maintain key systems, and follow established key‐control procedures
  • Conduct site assessments to determine hardware needs and document findings accurately
  • Complete required job documentation, including work orders, parts usage, and service notes
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle in clean and serviceable condition
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools and heavy equipment
  • Provide professional on‐site customer interaction consistent with company standards
  • Participate in on‐call rotation or after‐hours work as assigned
  • Protect confidential information, security codes, and customer property at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in locksmithing, safe work, or a related mechanical trade
  • Working knowledge of commercial door hardware, key systems, and safe mechanisms
  • Ability to lift, move, or position heavy equipment such as safes when required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving standards
