IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is a recognized leader in Facilities Management and Operations in support of Defense, Intelligence, and National Security missions

Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP operates and maintains facilities, systems, and associated grounds across Virginia and Maryland. Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services.

As the Certified Locksmith, you will be installing, maintaining, repairing, and securing mechanical and electromechanical locking systems in high-security environments. This role requires exceptional technical skill, discretion, and strict adherence to security protocols to protect classified facilities, information, and personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Install, maintain, inspect, and repair high-security locking systems, safes, vaults, doors, and access control hardware
  • Service and troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical locking devices
  • Perform lock rekeying, combination changes, and key control management in accordance with security directives
  • Support secure facility construction, renovation, and decommissioning projects
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with federal, agency, and intelligence community security standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, key inventories, and access changes
  • Respond to emergency lockouts or security incidents as required
  • Coordinate with security officers, engineers, and facilities personnel to resolve vulnerabilities
  • Protect classified information and follow all handling, storage, and operational security procedures

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Certified Locksmith (e.g., ALOA, SAVTA, or equivalent recognized certification)
  • Minimum 3 years of professional locksmith experience, preferably in government, military, or high-security environments
  • Demonstrated experience with high-security locking systems and key control programs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
