Job description

We are Lockheed Martin
This position is for a first line manager of the Integrated Fighter Group Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) team for Test & Evaluation located at Fort Worth, TX. The team is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and processing all aspects of flight test instrumentation for the F-22 test and F-16 FMS aircrafts. The successful candidate will lead FTI system & detail design engineers. Responsible for onsite technical and management oversight, collaborate with T&E leadership on workforce planning; coordinate with applicable Program Management Office and LOBe team to provide escalation path for technical issues; develop performance and Earned Value metrics; develop specific program metrics to support Enterprise Metrics; develop risk and opportunity matrix related to cost, schedule, and budget. Enable autonomous day-to-day operation and coordination with other appropriate Lockheed site locations. Frequent communication with Lockheed leadership and Program Management Office team. Provides people and processes to plan, coordinate, and execute affordable instrumentation and data solutions across all test disciplines. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, salary and recognition/disciplinary actions. Assigns team duties, reviews the team's work product, provides mentoring and on-the-job training for team members. Responsibilities will also include coordinating and interacting with several disciplines as they relate to flight test such as maintenance, configuration management, supportability, engineering, flight operations, security and quality. Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when required; minimal travel may be required.
