Job description

Standard Job Description
Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences; lays out and assembles units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications. Adjusts and calibrates systems as required; modifies electronic equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches. Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed. Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. Determines types of tests to be performed, approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment. Assists engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
You will be the Product Test Technician Senior for the Lockheed Martin Lufkin Operations. Our team is responsible for testing all products that are processed through the Lufkin site, which includes in-process testing of wire harness assemblies and circuit card assemblies as well box level and end item testing.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Product Test Technician Senior, you will be responsible for testing isolation and continuity on our wire harness builds and utilizing a bed of nails testing for circuit cards. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Set up and operate test equipment to test, align, adjust, evaluate, and verify conformance of electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical products to engineering specifications
  • Box Level and End Level testing
  • Functional Testing, environmental including integration, vibration and temperature testing
  • May require heavy equipment operating and handling (overhead crane)

*** This position will require the selected candidate to work onsite full-time on 2nd shift.
Basic Qualifications
• Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
• Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift
Must meet one of the following requirements:
• Two-year Associate Degree in Electronics from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education plus minimum of approximately 2 years of direct test experience using electronic automated test equipment.
• Electronics Certificate from an accredited college
• One-year technical schooling in electronics and one year of applied experience
• Two years of military service with electronic schooling and applied experience
• 5+ years experience in specialized electronic manufacturing with a demonstrated technical skill set
Desired Skills
• Familiarity with the mate/de-mate of electrical contacts and connectors
• Good communication skills
• Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge and ESD mitigation principles
• Basic blueprint reading/understanding of schematics
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite and basic computer use

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $37700.00 - $69900.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
