Job description

Legion Pod is a multi-function sensor system that supports collaborative targeting operations in radar-denied environments. Flexible by design and production-ready, Legion Pod is set to serve as the next sensor system of choice for fixed-wing aircraft.
Pilots using Lockheed Martin's Legion Pod, which has IRST21 technology, will now have a dedicated datalink available for pod-to-pod communication that establishes near instantaneous range to targets.
This position is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, and hardware/software integration and verification. The individual will develop embedded software in C++ and embedded operating system in an Agile environment using JIRA, Git and Confluence. The individual will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development lifecycle.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
-Develop Embedded Software
-Integrate algorithms into C/C++ applications
-Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
-Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment.
-Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software.
-Correct program errors, prepares operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
