Job description
Develops planning and work instructions defining the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for components and assemblies. Produces detailed work instructions defining production operations utilizing information from blueprints, specifications, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases. Reads/interprets component and assembly blueprint geometric dimensioning and tolerancing for use in defining manufacturing methods and requirements.
Determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools. Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements. Coordinates with manufacturing, engineering, quality, program and site PP&C stakeholders to provide shop floor control on make parts.
Utilizes CAD tools to generate visual aids for manufacturing work instructions.
