Standard Job Description Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight. Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests. You will be the Airframe Structural Design Engineer - Level 3 for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) which is responsible for advancing aircraft structural solutions.

What You Will Be Doing As the Airframe Structural Design Engineer - Level 3 you will be responsible for delivering innovative structural designs that meet rigorous performance and safety standards. Your responsibilities will include: Create and modify primary and secondary structural parts, assemblies, installations, and interface control models/documents. Develop, test, and validate aircraft structural designs.

Generate system requirements, conduct trade studies, draft statements of work, and prepare test plans. Coordinate with internal Integrated Product Teams and interact with external IPTs and suppliers. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering - Experience in airframe structure design - Experience with CATIA V5 - Experience with 2D Drafting and 3D modeling of detail parts, assemblies, and GD&T - Experience with Bill of Materials and drawing structure - Experience with metallic design - Experience with aircraft structural repairs Desired Skills - Experience with MRB coordination and support - Experience with sheet metal design - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment - Experience with basic hand stress analysis - Experience with aircraft coatings and design - Experience with composite design - Experience with component selection and integration - Experience developing technical documents - Experience with aircraft corrosion remediation Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
