Job Description Summary

The Area Service Manager, Specialized Receivables, is responsible for leading the Treasury Management Service & Onboarding teams supporting Huntington's Specialized Receivables solutions, including SafeCash, Integrated Receivables, and Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP).  This leader oversees onboarding, implementation, servicing, and support activities to ensure the successful delivery of Treasury Management solutions for commercial clients.

The Area Service Manager is accountable for driving operational excellence, client satisfaction, colleague development, and cross-functional partnership while ensuring consistent execution of service and onboarding activities across specialized receivables products.  The role serves as a key liaison between Treasury Management Sales, Product, Operations, Technology, and other busi

ness partners to enhance the client experience, support strategic initiatives, and drive continuous process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for teams responsible for onboarding, implementation, servicing, and support of SafeCash, Integrated Receivables, and EBPP solutions.
  • Direct day-to-day operations to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality execution of client onboarding, maintenance, service requests, and issue resolution.
  • Foster a culture focused on delivering an extraordinary client experience while strengthening relationships with commercial clients and internal partners.
  • Partner closely with Treasury Management Sales, Product, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to support business growth and product expansion initiatives.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex, high-profile, or high-risk client implementations, servicing matters, and operational issues.
  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring service levels, productivity metrics, quality standards, and client satisfaction results.
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives, product rollouts, process enhancements, system conversions, and organizational change efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding, servicing, and support processes through automation, standardization, documentation, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure team adherence to regulatory requirements, risk controls, security protocols, and internal policies.
  • Manage all aspects of employee performance and development, including coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, goal setting, and skills development activities.  
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability measures to achieve department goals and business objectives.
  • Analyze trends, client feedback, service performance, operational metrics, and product adoption data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and business stakeholders to provide feedback on product enhancements, client needs, and operational impacts.
  • Manage resource planning, capacity needs, staffing models, and workload distribution to support changing business demands.
  • Prepare and deliver management reporting, business updates, and operational performance summaries to senior leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of Treasury Management, Payments, Cash Management, or Commercial Banking experience (Treasury Management experience supporting receivables solutions such as SafeCash, Integrated Receivables, EBPP, Lockbox, Remote Deposit Capture, Merchant Services, Integrated Payables, or related payment technologies).
  • 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • 3+ years experience managing client onboarding, implementation, servicing, or support functions.
  • 3+ years experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Treasury Management implementation, servicing, and client support processes.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational teams focused on client experience and service delivery.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership skills with a commitment to colleague development, engagement, and talent growth.
