A. Duties & Responsibilities
  1. The Set-Up Technician reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for starting and setting up of all new jobs to produce quality parts for our customers.
  2. Set-up and start-up of molding machine, auxiliary equipment, tooling as specified on the set-up master.
  3. Ensure processes are running within the tolerances of the set-up master.
  4. Document all set-up changes outside the tolerances of the set-up master as per WI-3.1-C
  5. Verify color feeders are set to set up master.
  6. Verify products produced meet quality standards as outlined in the operator instructions and hand in first off to Cell Leader.
  7. Notify Production Supervisor of processes outside of tolerances specified or nonconforming processes.
  8. Attend Bi-Weekly set up meetings.
  9. Responsible for completion of Daily Crane Inspection Checklist and Daily Mold Change Checklist.
  10. Follow Lock-Out procedures.
  11. Follow 5S.
  12. Ensure tracker is reading nominal cycle and matches the set-up master at the machine.
  13. Ensure that you communicate all issues with the incoming shift.
  14. Follow all plant safety rules and procedures.

B. Minimum Qualifications
  1. Minimum Grade 12

C. Required Skills
  1. One year experience as an injection molding set-up technician.
  2. Basic math, English reading and writing.
  3. Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.
