Capital Markets Analyst (Lock Desk)

Our client is seeking a Junior Capital Markets Analyst (Lock Desk) to support its Capital Markets and Secondary Marketing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented mortgage professional looking to grow their career in pricing, lock desk operations, and secondary marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Lock, relock, and extend mortgage loans with investors
  • Review loan pricing and product eligibility
  • Respond to pricing and lock requests from internal teams
  • Monitor lock expirations and pipeline activity
  • Maintain accurate pricing and lock data within the LOS and pricing engine
  • Coordinate with Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and Funding to resolve lock-related issues
  • Support investor communications and secondary marketing activities
Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of mortgage industry experience
  • Experience in Lock Desk, Capital Markets, Secondary Marketing, Processing, Closing, or Funding
  • Prior experience with an Independent Mortgage Bank (IMB) preferred
  • Familiarity with Encompass, Optimal Blue, or similar mortgage systems is a plus
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products preferred
