Summary:

A Lock Desk Specialist will review/process work items and re-price as applicable. S/he is accountable for achieving the pricing benchmark as established by management and will work with Capital Markets and production personnel to minimize the use of extension fees and any other fees/costs that reduce profitability. S/he will communicate an outgoing and friendly professional demeanor not only to customers but to colleagues as well.

*Job must be onsite, in office 4 days, and can only be filled in one of these locations, Columbus, OH, Port Huron, MI, Detroit MI, Boardman, OH, Byron Center, MI, Tupelo, MS or Dallas TX.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work Items for Retail, TPL, Correspondent and Broker.
  • Process lock extension and shortages.
  • Manual changes including extensions, LLPA and loan criteria.
  • Assist with Retail, TPL, Broker, Correspondent and HELOC Channels.
  • Assists with expiring locked pipeline.
  • Works with loan originators on pricing issues, off sheet pricing, and other pricing questions.
  • Understands and interprets product guidelines.
  • Reviews work items and processes changes as applicable.
  • Makes appropriate changes upon request from Mortgage Sales and Operations teams.
  • Supports Lock Desk/Optimal Blue Manager and Capital Markets Management as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 plus years' Experience in Function

  • 1 plus years' Experience in Industry
