About the role:
As an APX localization Director you will lead development of localization strategy to ensure APX reactors deployment in specific countries and markets. You will tailor the localization strategy to meet local content capabilities, regulatory and customers' requirements. Primary focus is on working with Westinghouse delivery and commercial organizations, and EPC construction partners in leading the development and management of strategic APX partnerships to give Westinghouse competitive advantage and project delivery certainty. This includes confirmation of partners' strategic fit before handing off to Westinghouse delivery teams for technical and deployment readiness.
You will report to the SVP - New Plant Partnerships, and work remotely, based in any European country in which Westinghouse has a location.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Balance localization requirements with commercial efficiency
  • Execution Certainty: Manage the localization implementation strategies; and support APX Delivery organizations in determining partners have capability to deliver to scope, schedule, and quality (early engagement to accelerate partner readiness)
  • Scalability: Build repeatable frameworks (contracting, governance, and partner management)
  • Credibility: Strengthen Westinghouse's positioning with governments and important local partners
  • We are looking for engagement with internal executive leadership, partners' executive management and external partners such as government and industry trade leaders.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering
  • Located in Europe
  • 5 years of related large construction project experience including commercial and project development leadership roles.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry in Europe and Canada. Prior customer-oriented and market assessment experience
  • Specific knowledge of AP1000 design
  • Manufacturing and major project construction experience
  • Customer and result oriented
  • Major construction project (EPC) experience and partnership development
  • Have experience in the nuclear industry and basic understanding of the AP1000 procurement and engineering processes
  • Prior executive engagement experience
  • Support the preparations of comprehensive business plans for complex offerings.
  • Perform technical, economic and risk assessments of complex suppliers/partner companies
  • Will facilitate meetings and brainstorming events
