Role Overview: This role involves administering prescribed radiation treatments to patients, most commonly as part of cancer care, using advanced medical equipment. The radiation therapist works closely with oncologists and the healthcare team to accurately position patients, follow detailed treatment plans, and ensure safety and precision. Compassionate patient support and careful documentation are essential throughout the treatment process.
Requirements:
  • One year of experience required
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Required - No Exemptions
  • Flu Vaccine Required - No Exemptions
  • Pending State License accepted
  • Certificates Required: ARRT R, ARRT T, BLS
  • EPIC charting system experience preferred
  • Skills: Adult Outpatient; Treatment Units: ARIA, Siemens, TrueBeam, Vision RT; Assist with Intracavity/Interstitial Administration, Assist with Intracavity/Interstitial Administration, Chart check, Emergency Cases, Lift/transfer devices, Patient/family teaching
  • Pretreatment: Custom Molds, Custom Shield, Tumor Localization
  • Provision of Treatment to patients with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Pancreatic Cancer, Testicular cancer
  • Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions/PPE, Management/lead experience, Radiation Safety, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
  • Will accept 1st time travelers
