Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and secure sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in commercial construction projects.
  • Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal to precise specifications based on blueprints and job requirements.
  • Work with various duct materials, including galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Ensure proper sealing, insulation, and support of duct systems to meet industry and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Operate hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
  • Lead and supervise a small crew of installers, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth and efficient project completion.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with local building codes and HVAC regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal duct installation in commercial construction.
