Position Summary

Platinum 36 Grass & Installation is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Flatbed Driver to transport sod, landscaping materials, and other freight throughout Texas. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and committed to delivering loads safely while helping identify profitable backhaul opportunities.

What We're Hiring For

We are seeking a qualified CDL Driver who:

  • Holds a valid CDL (Class A or B)
  • Has a clean driving record
  • Can safely operate trucks with sod and landscaping materials
  • Is dependable, punctual, and professional
  • Can load, secure, and unload materials safely
  • Is willing to assist the crew on job sites as needed
  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Can work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class A CDL flatbed tractor-trailer.
  • Transport sod, landscaping materials, and commercial freight.
  • Secure and inspect loads before transport.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Complete bills of lading (BOLs), delivery receipts, required paperwork, and paper driver logs.
  • Identify and complete profitable backhaul loads when available.
  • Deliver freight safely, on time, and in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain a clean truck and report maintenance concerns promptly.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Current DOT Medical Certificate
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service
  • Ability to safely secure flatbed loads
  • Must be proficient in operating a piggyback (Moffett) forklift, a manual forklift, which includes 10-speed and 18-speed manual transmissions.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Flatbed, sod hauling, or construction material hauling experience preferred

Schedule

  • Part-time
  • 3 -4 days per week
  • Occasional overtime may be available

Compensation

  • Earn 25% of the net profit for each completed load
  • Weekly pay
  • Home time based on dispatch schedule
