Meats By Linz, Inc. is seeking to add additional talent to the Logistics team in the Chicagoland area!

Job Description:

Full-time Drivers work eight or more hours per day delivering proteins to a variety of Meats By Linz customers 5 days a week. Workdays may vary depending on business and consumer needs. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves lifting, lowering and carrying packages that typically weigh anywhere from 25 - 50 lbs. and may weigh up to 100 lbs. The position requires outstanding customer service skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills.ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Maintain clear and constant communication with managementย throughout one's shift to report updates, incidents, clarifications, or any other information that needs to be shared.
  • Obey local and stateย traffic laws and follow the Company's transportation procedures.
  • Ensure packages are delivered on time and accurately.
  • Follow assigned routes for deliveries.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills while delivering on routes.ย

Job Requirements and Skillsย 

  • Class B or C Driver Licenseย 
  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Must be able to obtain new DOT Med-Card for 2 years
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Eligible to work in the United Statesย 
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testingย 
  • Ability to sit and drive for up to 10 hours, and climb in and out of truck cab throughout shift
  • Must be capable of carrying, lifting,ย and stocking a variety of products including boxes that are approximately 50 lbs. to 100ย lbs.ย 
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenย 
  • Excellent customer service skillsย 
  • Familiarity with routes surrounding the Chicagoland area and suburbs and Northwest Indiana
