Exempt Status: Non-Exempt

Number Of Days: According To District Approved Calendar

Department: Assigned Campus

Reports To: Principal

Supervises: None

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Prior experience preferred

Position Function/Purpose

The office clerk shall carry out all office related activities as assigned by the building principal.

Essential Functions

  • Basic typing
  • Alphabetize and file
  • Good telephone skills with the public
  • Work in a cooperative manner with coworkers and teachers
  • Maintain accurate attendance reports in a prompt manner
  • Prepare accurate attendance reports in a prompt manner
  • Check and verify student absences
  • Keep all attendance information, verify and complete each year
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor
  • Cross train with secretary

Qualification Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Have or be eligible for state certification
  • Basic typing skills
  • Basic computer skills
