Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Solutions Architect based in Netherlands.

This is a senior Solutions Architect role focused on adapting and integrating a global mobile network platform to meet the specific requirements of different markets.
You'll sit at the intersection of regulatory, product, engineering, and external partner needs, translating complex requirements into actionable technical solutions.
Your work will help ensure that core network services are not only technically integrated but also compliant, scalable, and fit for local market conditions.
You'll lead discovery with mobile network operators, regulators, and internal teams to define requirements, priorities, dependencies, and delivery approaches.
The role combines technical analysis, solution design, documentation, stakeholder management, and hands-on functional leadership of engineering teams.
You'll work across multiple countries and market environments, balancing compliance requirements with maintainability, scalability, and delivery efficiency.
This is an opportunity to have broad international impact in a fully remote, globally distributed environment while helping shape the future of mobile connectivity.

Accountabilities
  • Act as the primary bridge between legal and regulatory requirements and Core Network engineering teams, translating regional mandates into clear, actionable functional requirements.
  • Lead requirements discovery workshops with local mobile network operators, regulators, external partners, and internal stakeholders to establish scope, priorities, dependencies, and implementation approaches.
  • Assess local regulatory and market requirements against existing platform capabilities and work with engineers to identify enhancements, trade-offs, and phased delivery options.
  • Create high-level technical workflows, process diagrams, and flowcharts for services such as Mobile Number Portability (MNP) and Lawful Interception to guide consistent implementation.
  • Define business rules, data exchange requirements, and functional specifications for MNP, voice routing, SMS routing, and related services, including edge cases and exception scenarios.
  • Identify the data points, reporting requirements, validation rules, and reporting frequencies required by local authorities and ensure engineering teams can support them.
  • Define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and sign-off requirements that demonstrate successful compliance with country-specific regulatory and technical requirements.
  • Maintain technical and regulatory checklists across multiple countries, tracking dependencies, delivery readiness, risks, and outstanding requirements.
  • Coordinate with local central databases, MNOs, and external partners to ensure interworking specifications, quality-of-service requirements, and integration milestones are properly addressed.
  • Provide functional leadership to development teams by clarifying requirements, reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria, and supporting solution design decisions.
  • Mentor and coach Solution Analysts and cross-functional delivery teams on user-story writing, functional specifications, documentation, and traceability from regulation through implementation.
  • Balance regulatory compliance with scalability, maintainability, delivery timelines, and overall platform consistency when making solution recommendations.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Solutions Architect, or in a closely related technical analysis role, ideally within telecommunications or technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex regulatory documentation and translate it into clear, actionable engineering requirements and deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of telecom concepts and the confidence to discuss technical topics such as SIP, SMS routing, Mobile Number Portability, interconnectivity, and related network services with engineers.
  • Extensive experience writing clear user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation that engineering teams can execute against.
  • Strong experience managing requirements and delivery workflows using tools such as Jira.
  • Experience with or strong interest in international roaming, telecom interconnectivity, MVNO environments, and the operational differences between global telecom markets.
  • Ability to create structured technical workflows, process diagrams, flowcharts, and other documentation that clearly communicate complex processes.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, or upskilling colleagues and delivery teams.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to operate effectively as a liaison between legal, product, engineering, regulators, and external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and regulatory topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or geographically distributed teams is highly valuable.
  • Prior experience in an MVNO or Mobile Core environment is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with GSMA standards and eSIM technology is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Lawful Interception requirements and regional regulatory reporting is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote, full-time permanent position with the flexibility to work from supported locations in Europe.
  • Flexible working environment designed to support autonomy, focus, and effective collaboration across a globally distributed team.
  • Competitive location-based compensation, with the salary range adjusted according to local market rates and cost of living.
  • Indicative salary ranges include 54,800-105,225 in Western/Northern Europe, with the specific range determined by your country of residence and experience.
  • Clear and transparent compensation discussions from the initial stages of the recruitment process.
  • Opportunity to work on technology supporting millions of travelers and mobile connectivity across more than 200 countries and regions.
  • International, fully remote environment with colleagues distributed across 60+ countries.
  • High level of trust, ownership, and autonomy, with minimal unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Opportunities to grow professionally and take on increasingly complex responsibilities as the organization scales.
  • English-speaking working environment, supporting collaboration across international teams.
  • Benefits package designed to support employees across eligible locations.
