The Assistant Project Manager - North Jersey will be responsible for assisting the Project Managers in all activities related to the construction projects including: procurement, submittals, creating and maintaining scheduling to ensure an on-time completion, and to work within the budget parameters. Client Details Fully integrated construction firm local to New Jersey managing their own developments and self performing construction. They focus on doing both Ground up Multifamily and Commercial projects. This firm is known for the fantastic projects they deliver and overall opportunity to further your career in the construction space. Description The Assistant Project Manager - North Jersey will: Be responsible for assisting all activities related to the construction projects including: procurement, submittals, creating and maintaining scheduling to ensure an on-time completion, and to work within the budget parameters. The position will report to the project manager on site. Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance. Build and maintain rapport with architects, subcontractors, and vendors. Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements. Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program. Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions Profile A successful Assistant Project Manager - North Jersey will have the following: 2-5 years of related construction experience - general construction is preferred Degree in Construction Management or related field strongly preferred Proficient in project management/construction management software Effective communication skills to motivate your team. The fortitude to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
