Job description

Position Title: Transportation Drivers - CDL and Non-CDL
Department: Student Engagement
Reports To: Coordinator of Transportation
Full-time or Part-time: Full-time and Part-time
Position Overview
The university is looking for both non-CDL and CDL certified drivers. The primary purpose of the position
is to safely transport students and other university employees who are required to travel between campus
sites or to other locations to fulfill their work and school related obligations. Those with CDL credentials
may be required to travel longer distances or overnight for university related events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
• Check in with Supervisor for directives, driving assignments, van keys and phone/radio.
• Complete Van Inspection Sheet (oil, windshield wiper, brake, anti-freeze and transmission fluids) at
beginning of each shift.
• Be on time for all pick-ups and drop-offs.
• Only drop-off and pick-up students at the designated locations.
• Clean vehicles at end of shift for next shift.
• Designated attire must be clean, pressed, neatly maintained, and always worn properly in its entirety.
• Professionalism will NOT be compromised for comfort in clothing.
• Other duties as designated by Supervisor.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of all safety laws and regulations and required to possess an Ohio driver's license and/or
a CDL as applicable
Minimum Qualifications
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A satisfactory background check is required
• High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• At least two years of related driving experience required
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Punctuality is a must.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
