Job description

The Chesapeake Baysox Baseball Club, Class AA Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles are seeking energetic candidates for our Mascot position.
The Baysox are looking for an individual that is looking to gain experience in the sports industry and has a passion for being a mascot. Individual must be able to work all Baysox weekend home games.  Position starts in early April 2026 and runs through the end of September 2026. This is a part-time, paid, seasonal position. Local candidates only will be considered.

Responsibilities Include:
Mascot Operations

  • Perform as "Louie," the Baysox Mascots at many Community Appearances in season and off-season and many Baysox Home Games.
  • Professionally perform as Louie in the stadium and at community appearances (based on availability).
  • Have fun interacting with fans.


 Requirements

  • Ability to work at Baysox home games for the duration of the season
  • Work nights & weekends based on Baysox schedule
  • Maintain a professional attitude and conduct at all times, especially while representing the Chesapeake Baysox organization


 Qualifications

  • Motivated Individuals with the desire to gain experience in professional sports
  • Outgoing & creative personality with a willingness and desire to have fun
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus
  • Willingness to perform wacky promotional activities on-field, in the stadium, and in the community
  • Athletic
  • MUST be roughly between 5'8" and 6'1" in height.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License, Clean Driving Record and own vehicle are required.
  • Previous mascot performance experience preferred (but not necessary).
