Class A CDL Driver – Hazmat amp; Tanker
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Ability to pass all DOT-required screenings, including drug testing and physical examination, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Minimum of 12 months of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driving experience
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in the use of computers, tablets, or handheld devices for electronic logging, dispatch communication, and delivery documentation Essential Job Functions
- Safely operate fuel tanker trucks to transport and deliver fuel to customer locations
- Load and unload fuel accurately, ensuring correct product type and quantity
- Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures related to the transportation of hazardous materials
- Maintain accurate electronic and/or written records, including delivery documentation and vehicle maintenance logs
- Communicate efficiently with dispatch, supervisors, and team members regarding routes, schedules, and delivery status
- Report mechanical issues, accidents, incidents, or traffic violations in a timely manner
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Ability to repetitively pull up to 100 pounds for distances of approximately 100–150 feet
- Ability to perform frequent and repetitive hand and arm movements while operating equipment and controls
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 10-12 hours during a 14-hour shift Ability to work in a physically demanding role and in varying weather and environmental conditions
