Job description

Company Description:

At Quality Roots, Michigan's top name in recreational cannabis, we're all about setting the bar high. We're not just a company-we're a community, a culture, and a driving force in Michigan's cannabis future. Our team is built by local experts and entrepreneurs who've earned trust through hard work and integrity.

What Sets Us Apart?

We lead with integrity and innovation, forging lasting relationships with customers, employees, and local partners. We're growing fast, and so is the potential for your career. Whether you're a seasoned sales pro or just getting started, we provide the platform to help you level up and earn big.

The Role...

If you know how to close deals, drive results, and thrive under pressure, we want you. We reward performance, respect the grind, and offer endless opportunities to grow personally and financially. This is your chance to make a real impact in an industry that's booming.

The Bottom Line...

Big industry. Big opportunities. Big rewards. If you've got the hustle, we've got the runway.

Who we want...

Someone who's worked in cannabis and has a passion for cannabis and customer service. Not someone who's going through the motions, someone who genuinely wants to leave every conversation better than they found it. If you've ever gone the extra mile for a customer just because it was the right thing to do, this role was built for you. Beyond that:

  • Experience in cannabis retail, customer service, or outbound calling, ideally more than one of those
  • Comfortable on the phone and able to handle rejection without losing your warmth or professionalism
  • Strong listening skills, you know when to talk and when to let the customer lead
  • Reliable and self-directed; you can work through a structured queue independently and consistently hit your daily targets
  • Detail-oriented when it comes to logging calls and keeping your queue clean
Your Role:

This isn't a call center job!

You'll run a structured daily call queue built inside our custom CRM. You call lapsed customers, listen to their experience, find out what pulled them away, and show them that Quality Roots still has a place for them. Every call is a customer service touchpoint first. You'll bring personalized offers when the time is right, but the goal is always the relationship. Every call gets logged, every outcome gets tracked, and you'll have full visibility into your own performance through a live scoreboard.

Most cannabis companies let customers walk out the door and never think about them again. Quality Roots doesn't. We built a proprietary outreach system from scratch to personally call lapsed customers, find out why they left, and win them back - one real conversation at a time. You'd be one of the people making those calls.

This is new territory in cannabis retail. No script-reading, no pressure tactics, no churn-and-burn cold calling. At its core this is a customer service role. You're not selling, you're reconnecting. You're a brand representative having genuine conversations with customers who already know us, using real data about their purchase history to make every interaction feel personal and worthwhile.

What You Bring:
  • Prior experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service
  • Cannabis knowledge
  • Confidence in using POS systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to learn and grow with us
  • Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a background check
Why Join Us?
  • Employee Discounts on premium cannabis products
  • Ongoing Education & Training to expand your cannabis knowledge
  • Career Growth Opportunities in a rapidly expanding company
  • Supportive, Inclusive Culture where you can be yourself
  • Flexible Scheduling to accommodate your lifestyle
  • Optional Health Benefits: After 90 days of employment, you'll have access to optional coverage including medical, dental, vision, critical illness, and accidental illness insurance-because your well-being matters to us.
  • Paid training on our proprietary CRM system and call program, no prior Salesforce experience required
  • Direct exposure to corporate leadership and a front-row seat to a program being built in real time
