Job description

Responsibilities
  • Managing end-to-end branch operations and sales initiatives, providing handsโ€‘on leadership for a 2-3-person team
  • Driving sales growth, customer acquisition and retention through personalized relationship management
  • Cultivating longโ€‘term client loyalty by consistently delivering a highโ€‘level customer service experience
  • Champion customer engagement through all dayโ€‘toโ€‘day sales procedures to include assisting customers by phone, email and in person (counter sales), order processing/returns, pricing/availability requests, quote/bid generation, nonโ€‘stock quotes, technical/vendor support and more
  • Create a proficient partnership with the Outside Sales Representative to pursue selling opportunities
  • Develop, maintain and leverage relationships with our manufacturer/vendor representatives within the territory
  • Efficient Inventory Control & Management for the territory
  • Ensure accurate warehouse and fulfillment operations to include all shipping, receiving, stocking and picking/packing orders
  • Hiring, onboarding & training staff members
Key Working Relationships
  • The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager. The individual will work closely with other staff members and with the local Outside Sales representative and all Dept teams across the organization.
Requirements
  • Must have Management experience with a track record of driving success through decisive, organized leadership and the ability to prioritize highโ€‘impact tasks in fastโ€‘paced environment
  • Experienced in strategic Account Development with a focus on driving sales through personalized relationship management
  • An adaptive leader dedicated to driving sales and operational success through active, handsโ€‘on involvement
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • 5+ years of extensive Customer Service experience (distribution industry preferred)
  • Proficient in a wide range of modern enterprise technologies, with a strong aptitude for quick technical adoption
  • Door Hardware, Locksmith or Access Control experience preferred
  • Distribution/wholesale knowledge a plus
