Job description

Job Title: Mobile Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview
The Mobile Maintenance Mechanic supports the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned facilities. This role performs general building maintenance, assists with repairs, and independently completes routine tasks to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain lighting systems, including bulb and ballast replacement

  • Assist with maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment

  • Perform general interior maintenance (hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems)

  • Complete minor plumbing repairs

  • Handle special projects such as painting, basic locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance tasks

  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and materials as needed

  • Conduct facility inspections and report conditions affecting building operations or occupant satisfaction

  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as part of an on-call rotation

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain clean, organized work areas

  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state, county, and local codes and regulations

  • Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with policy

  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training

  • Document completed work and materials used

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs

  • Use ladders up to 30 ft

  • Frequently climb, bend, kneel, and lift

  • Ability to drive long distances within the assigned service area

  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in general building maintenance

  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems

  • Valid drivers license required

Preferred

  • Completion of a technical or trade training program
