CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally. CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.
A Brief Overview
CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. The Locksmith is responsible for skilled, repair, and service of locks, electronic access equipment and related hardware. Position may also be responsible for the making of keys. A Locksmith must be able to perform and/or assist in any routine or emergency function of the locksmith position. "Locksmith" position deals in the mechanical actions, and the correct operations of all locks, key or keyless, or similar devices, including electronic access equipment and related hardware.
What you will do
  • Performs preventative and/or corrective maintenance on new and existing locks, locking controls, doors, and other equipment in accordance with work orders or direction from Facility Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Installs, repairs and maintains pneumatic locking systems, door Positioning Sensors, electric door, and manual and electronic panic devices openers.
  • Installs, repairs, and maintains electro-magnetic latching systems; wires and installs card reading and scanning devices.
  • Establishes key lock and related systems, which permit controlled access to buildings, and ensures security.
  • Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts locks; checks keys and locks for wear and repairs or replaces them.
  • Responds to emergency requests regarding problems with building locking devices and services within established standards of promptness.
  • Performs required administrative tasks pertaining to the position, such as work order documentation and general record keeping. All work performed must conform to standards per the contractual agreements with the client, as well as standards for quality and accuracy and all OSHA codes and regulations.
  • Responsible for preventive and corrective lock and safe maintenance work orders.
  • Maintains all required records and logs. Submits clear, legible, and complete information on all work performed; enters data into computerized maintenance management system.
  • Stays abreast of advanced Locksmith technologies and trends.
  • Follows tool control policies, lock control policies, and all OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to continue education related to certifications based on current technologies related to Security locking systems and appurtenances.
  • Communicate all task and project timelines in timely manner to Facility Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Ensure proper key control is established and followed by all staff.
  • Complete all required compliance, safety and developmental training as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Required or
  • 4-6 years locksmith or maintenance experience in commercial environments Required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to read and ascertain information on electrical schematics.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completes all documentation required in compliance with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Must be a team player, have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed.
  • Must provide outstanding customer service to meet the needs of our client.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Hold licenses/certifications as required by local, state and federal regulations.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
  • Certifications may be required.
  • Requires a self-motivated, team player who can multitask, and prioritize as well as demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with our clients.
