Job description

SALARY RANGE: $16.25-$17.50 / Hour

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for daily store operations, including management of store staff, store profits, all controllable expenses, maintaining the image of the location, and marketing programs.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist manager with training all store staff to ensure excellent customer service and a professional image.
  • Motivate, encourage, and challenge store associates.
  • Assist with creating and implementing marketing plans to enhance customer count and profitability of the   location.
  • Implement appropriate promotions, ensuring all POS advertising/signage is properly posted at the proper time.
  • Implement and enforce established daily operating procedures to ensure store is clean, adequately stocked, organized.  Oversees maintenance of the building, grounds and equipment.
  • Ensure all merchandise is stocked and displays are attractive, correctly priced, and displayed in a safe manner. Maintain quality brand image standards.
  • Monitor daily retail gasoline competitor fuel pricing, communicating information to supervisor.
  • Complete daily paperwork and computer entry in a timely manner as established by supervisor.
  • Monitor cash over/short, inventory shrinkage, and drive-offs daily.
  • Substitute for Store Associates as needed.
  • Perform all price change requests, mark downs / ups as requested by Supervisor.
  • Implement and enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures.
  • Enforce all safety and security issues and remedy and report any and all unsafe conditions.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of retail and/or supervisory related work experience to demonstrate the ability to generate profitable sales, build repeat customers, and gain share of market.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
