Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an experienced Class 1 Heavy Crane Truck Driver to safely transport, load, unload, and position rental equipment at customer jobsites. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with hands-on experience operating stiff boom, knuckle boom, or heavy crane trucks in construction, industrial, and commercial environments.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service while operating specialized lifting equipment safely and efficiently. You will serve as the face of Sunbelt Rentals at customer sites, ensuring equipment is delivered and placed accurately while maintaining the highest safety standards.

What You'll Do
  • Operate a Class 1 heavy crane truck to transport, load, unload, and position rental equipment at customer locations
  • Perform safe and precise crane lifts in construction, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure environments
  • Deliver and recover a variety of rental equipment while adhering to company and regulatory safety standards
  • Conduct site assessments to identify lifting hazards and establish safe work zones
  • Secure loads and ensure proper transportation of equipment in accordance with provincial regulations
  • Drive in urban, suburban, rural, and challenging jobsite environments
  • Provide equipment orientation and basic operational guidance to customers as required
  • Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and crane inspection reports
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Sunbelt Rentals professionally at every jobsite
What You Bring
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with a clean and acceptable driving record
  • Demonstrated experience operating heavy crane trucks (stiff boom, knuckle boom, or similar)
  • Crane certification and rigging experience considered a strong asset
  • Experience working in construction, industrial, heavy equipment, or rental environments
  • Strong understanding of load securement, lifting practices, and jobsite safety requirements
  • Ability to interpret lift plans and work safely around personnel, utilities, and structures
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude
  • Commitment to safe work practices and regulatory compliance
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching
  • Lifting and handling materials weighing 50+ lbs
  • Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and site conditions

Base Pay Range

31.80 - 47.71
