Salary: $32.00-$34.00 per hour (dependent on experience) + Bonus/Incentive Eligibility

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class 1 Driver - Daycab (Local) to join our transportation team. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods across regional and long-distance routes while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.

What You'll Do

  • Operate Class 1 tractor-trailers for local routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and HOS/Transport Canada regulations
  • Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution
  • Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and required paperwork
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups
  • 5-6 days per week, 40 hours per week (seasonal variation may apply)
  • Exposure to all weather conditions
  • Combination of driving and physical labor (loading/unloading as required)

What You Bring

  • Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 3-5 years of commercial long-haul driving experience
  • Strong knowledge of highway driving, routes, and safety procedures
  • Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmissions
  • Physically capable of lifting, securing, and handling freight
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
  • Basic knowledge of truck mechanics for minor roadside repairs
