The Arc of Southwest GeorgiaJOB DESCRIPTIONTRANSPORTATION DRIVERJOB SUMMARY:This position is a part-time position. Responsibilities of this position include safely transporting individuals served to medical and dental appointments and other locations as instructed by the Director of Operations in conjunction with case managers and other caregivers.Non-Exempt Position.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Picks up and drops off individuals served at various local venues;Checks out the assigned vehicle to make sure it is in good driving order with all equipment necessary to safely transport individuals served;Determines that all passengers are using seatbelts;Determines that all wheelchairs are safely tied down;Obeys all the rules of the road;Maintains a current driverโ€™s license;Completes all paperwork necessary for maintaining driving/mileage records.Reports any vehicle problems to the Director.All other duties as may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED; the individual must have excellent driving record and skills; excellent customer service skills and a pleasant personality.Must attend and pass mandatory training โ€“ Safe Driver, CPR, and others as required by AARC or State or Federal regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
