Job description

CLASS 1 DRIVER

HML is an Edmonton based company that is looking for a Class 1 driver / Water Truck Driver. This job is mostly "In City" driving.

Job Duties:

  • Tandem dump truck operation in and around the Edmonton area;
  • Operation of sander truck;
  • Water Truck operation / watering various sites:
  • The work is related to our construction scopes;
  • Must be willing to perform manual labour if required;
  • Executing field projects according to instructions provided by dispatch;
  • Work with minimal supervision and direction;
  • Follow all traffic legislation and;
  • Drive and operate according to the company's safety standards.


Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of tandem dump truck driving experience;
  • 2+ years water truck experience is preferred;
  • Maintain logbook as per legislation;
  • Perform regular equipment preventative maintenance and pre-trips;
  • Neat and diligent in maintaining equipment / vehicles;
  • CSTS 2020 training;
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's license;
  • Clean 5-year commercial driver's abstract;
  • Ability to work long hours (10 - 12 hours per day);
  • Ability to work night shifts as needed;
  • Applicant must be willing to be diversified in different roles within the company;
  • Commercial vehicle training (can be provided);
  • Strong work ethic;
  • Safety conscious;
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada.
