WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / BACKUP DELIVERY DRIVER, 1ST SHIFT, $18-20/HOUR, CONTRACT TO HIRE
SNELLING STAFFING HAS AN IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR A WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE / BACK-UP DELIVERY DRIVER AT OUR WAREHOUSE/DISTRIBUTION CLIENT LOCATED IN WARREN.
This company distributes beverages to restaurants and retail stores throughout Metro-Detroit and the state of Michigan.
The majority of the position will involve warehouse duties, but our client is looking for someone with Route Delivery experience who can step in when needed for deliveries. Time spent driving will be approximately 10-20% of your position, with 80-90% in warehouse activities.
Warehouse / Delivery Driver duties:
Pull daily order and load truck via pallet jack
Organize for optimal delivery schedule
General warehouse duties as needed
Chauffeurs license: drive local delivery route throughout Metro Detroit or CDLB: drive local delivery route throughout Metro Detroit and routes throughout the state of Michigan
Delivery Driver qualifications:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout your shift
Must have either a valid Chauffeurs license or a CDL B license
Must have clean driving record
Excellent sense of direction and familiarity with the Metro Detroit area
Excellent communication skills as you will be interacting with customers throughout the day
Ability to work unsupervised
Ability to pass background check and drug screen
2-3 years experience as a route delivery driver (not groceries or pizza, you must have experience starting the day with a full truck and following scheduled stops/route throughout the day)
