Delivery Driver (G Class)

Demetres

Woodbridge, ON • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 13 days ago

Job description

Our people are the best part about Demetres and we're always looking for the right people to carry the tradition of excellence. Demetres is a place where good things happen. We serve brilliant desserts that are handcrafted in store, with our own craft ice creams made right here in our central kitchen.

As a Delivery Driver, you are the link between our central bakery and every dessert we serve. You will deliver our ice cream, cakes, and ingredients from our Manufactory at 111 Strada Drive, Woodbridge (Vaughan) to our Demetres and Scooped stores and grocery partners across the GTA. The routes are local, you're home every day, and the product you're hauling is the good stuff Canadians have loved for over 35 years.

If you take pride in a clean truck, a tight route, and a job done right, we want you behind the wheel.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the Route: Deliver ice cream, cakes, and ingredients to our stores and grocery partners across the GTA in a 16-ft straight/cube truck (Hino/Isuzu style).
  • Own the Delivery: Unload and unpack goods at each stop, and keep accurate delivery logs and notes.
  • Care for the Truck: Keep your vehicle clean and road-ready, and flag maintenance issues early.
  • Work the Warehouse: Between runs, receive goods, organize stock, and move cases — including in our cooler and freezer areas.
  • Share the Load: Work as part of a small team that shares responsibilities and covers for each other.

What You Bring:

  • The Licence: A valid G-class driver's licence, and a current driver's abstract that meets our insurance requirements.
  • The Experience: 3 years of commercial driving experience and confidence handling a 16-ft cube truck in city traffic.
  • The Strength: Able to regularly lift and move 50+ lbs, and comfortable working in cooler and freezer environments.
  • The Reliability: Punctual and dependable — our stores plan their day around your arrival.
  • The Independence: Self-disciplined and able to run a route solo, while staying comfortable sitting and standing for extended periods.

Why You'll Love It Here:

  • Home Every Night: Local GTA routes only — no long-haul, no overnights.
  • The Schedule: Mostly day shifts, flexible or regular depending on your preference. We operate Monday through Sunday.
  • The Vibe: A small team that likes working with each other.
  • Familiar Faces: You deliver to our own stores and long-time partners, people who know you and are glad to see you, not strangers' loading docks.
  • Steady Work: An established, family-run company that has been baking for over 35 years meaning dependable, year-round work.

The Details:

  • Location: 111 Strada Drive, Woodbridge, ON (Transit accessible + free on-site parking).
  • Schedule: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available. Mostly day shifts; night shifts can also be accommodated.
