Warehouse Associate – Construction Supply

Location: Metairie, LA 70001

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $16.00 – $18.00 / hour (based on experience)

Job Overview

A local construction supply company in Metairie, LA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. In this role, you will perform general warehouse duties, operate material handling equipment, and accurately fulfill customer and project orders. Precision and attention to detail are critical when pulling inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order Fulfillment: Accurately pull, pack, and stage construction supplies and materials based on pick sheets and customer orders.

  • Forklift Operation: Safely operate both standing and seated forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack stock throughout the facility.

  • Inventory Control: Assist with stock receiving, cycle counts, inventory tracking, and maintaining organized storage racks (inventory control experience is a strong plus).

  • Material Handling: Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted (team lifts or mechanical assistance provided for loads exceeding 50 lbs).

  • Facility Maintenance: Keep work areas, aisles, and loading docks clean, orderly, and compliant with safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Forklift Experience: Hands-on experience operating both standing and seated forklifts is required.
