Location: New Riegel, OH (Serving Tiffin, Findlay, Toledo, and surrounding areas) [1, 2, 3, 4]
About Us & The Role
Are you looking for a steady, active job outside the standard warehouse or retail environment? Lucius Fence & Decking is expanding our field installation crews. We are a premier outdoor construction company with a 35-year track record of excellence in Northwest Ohio.
We are currently hiring dependable, hardworking individuals for the role of Fencing Laborer with Paid Training. Headquartered in New Riegel, OH, our crews service residential, commercial, and agricultural projects throughout the region, including regular job sites in Tiffin, Findlay, and the greater Toledo area.
No prior construction experience is required. If you have a strong work ethic, a valid driver's license, and enjoy working outdoors, we will provide 100% paid training to help you build a profitable, long-term trade.
What We Offer (Pay & Benefits)
  • Competitive Pay: Starting at $18.00+ per hour, scaled higher based on any verifiable labor experience.
  • Immediate Benefits: Paid comprehensive training, paid company holidays, a dedicated clothing allowance, steady year-round work, and a supportive team environment.
  • Benefits After One Year: Earned Paid Time Off (PTO), comprehensive health insurance, dental insurance, vision coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching. [1]
What You Will Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)
As a field laborer, you will report to our New Riegel shop and travel in company vehicles to project locations across Northwest Ohio (Tiffin, Findlay, Toledo, etc.). Working alongside an experienced crew leader, you will: [1, 2]
  • Assist in the installation of wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain link, and netting fences.
  • Measure, mark, and accurately lay out fence lines according to project blueprints.
  • Dig post holes, set structural posts, and mix/pour concrete bases.
  • Ensure all fence lines and gates are perfectly level, structurally secure, and meet our high quality standards.
  • Load, unload, and safely transport heavy construction materials and equipment.
  • Safely operate everyday hand tools, power tools, and specialized post-driving equipment.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free job sites.
  • Provide professional, polite service when interacting with local property owners and clients. [1]
What We Are Looking For (Job Requirements)
  • Backgrounds in landscaping, farming, roofing, manufacturing, or general outdoor labor are a plus, but not required.
  • A strong willingness to learn, listen to instruction, and develop new physical skills.
  • Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and carry 60+ pounds regularly throughout the day.
  • Reliable transportation to ensure consistent, on-time attendance at our main shop.
  • Comfort working outdoors in all types of Ohio weather conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a tight-knit, collaborative team.
  • Basic familiarity with hand or power tools is an advantage.
Why Join the Lucius Team?
  • Learn a Trade: Skip the student local debt and get paid from day one to learn specialized construction skills.
  • Stability: Partner with an established business that has kept local crews busy and paid for over three decades.
  • Career Growth: We actively promote from within. Motivated laborers quickly move up into Crew Leader and supervisory roles.
  • Strong Culture: Work for a company that values craftsmanship, honors its safety commitments, and treats employees like family.
