Job Summary:

Red Baron Transportation is actively seeking a dedicated Local Truck Driver to join our team in Calhoun, Georgia. As a Class A CDL holder, your responsibilities will include local cargo transportation, "drop and hook" operations, and ensuring the secure delivery of goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a Class A CDL vehicle for local deliveries.
  • Safely transport cargo to designated destinations.
  • Load and unload freight as necessary.
  • Securely close truck doors and detach trailers when needed.
  • Ensure prompt and efficient completion of assigned routes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
  • Current Med Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
  • Registration with the Clearinghouse.
  • Impeccable driving record with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Capability to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Dependable and punctual, with availability Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM (occasionally later).
  • Exemplary work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must possess a cell phone for communication.
  • Personal vehicle for commuting to the workplace.
  • Hazmat endorsement preferred.
  • Steel-toed shoes are mandatory.

Preferred: Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Certification

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly Salary: $22 per hour with an additional dollar per hour for Hazmat Endorsement.
  • Benefits available after 90 days.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires in-person work and is based in Calhoun, Georgia.
  • Applicants with a Hazmat endorsement will receive an additional dollar per hour.
